Wattics has released a new tool that allows energy analysts to identify and examine peak demand values (kW/kVA) and compare with those found in yours or your customers' energy bills.

Understand which equipment or areas of your business are the cause of spikes in demand and potentially resulting in additional costs in your bill each month.

When navigating to the Raw Data tab in your dashboard, you will see the new Peak Demand Finder tool in the control panel on the right side of your screen.

Start analysing peak demand by selecting:

  1. An appliance, organisation or site;
  2. Time period; and
  3. Unit of power (Active (kW)/Apparent (kVA))

The peak demand finder tool will display kW/kVA values as well as the date and time window that peak demand was at its highest.

For example: "Peak of 2.36 kVA on Sat(urday) 13 between 22:30 and 23:00"

Users can select between 15 or 30 minute moving averages for the peak and total demand calculations.
